1. Journal Articles
Concordia University of Edmonton students can search for full-text online journal articles through one of many online databases .
2. Electronic Books
Concordia University of Edmonton students can search for e-books using individual e-book collections or in CUE WorldCat .
1. Borrowing Books from the Concordia Library
Distance students can request items through CUE WorldCat (our library catalogue) and have them delivered to the nearest NEOS library location.
Items must be borrowed using your Concordia University of Edmonton library card (Student ID card).
Items can be borrowed from and returned to NEOS library locations.
The Concordia University of Edmonton Library does not mail physical items directly to distance students so it is important to know which libraries are located in your vicinity.
2. Borrowing from other Alberta and Canadian Libraries.
As a Concordia University of Edmonton student you can request a TAL (The Alberta Library) Card or COPPUL Card which can be used to borrow from the following:
3. Loan Periods on Concordia University of Edmonton Materials.
Six week loan period.
Reserves items are for in-house use or overnight use only and loan periods vary.
Reference materials and periodicals/journals are for in-house use only.
Curriculum collection items are available for loan to Concordia University of Edmonton patrons only.
4. Renewal of Library Materials
Four renewals are allowed, unless another library user has placed a hold in the item.
Normally, NEOS materials may be renewed twice, unless the material is requested by another user.
For renewal of TAL, COPPUL and COPPUL/OCUL library materials, consult with the lending library.
Fines for Concordia non-reserve items is $1.00/day.
Fines for Concordia reserve items is $1.00/hour.
Students may photocopy journal articles and sections from books in person.
A copier is available on the main floor of the library and copies cost 15 cents per page.
